“Large Unfurling Fern” represents the vital, native habitats these insects rely upon. Inspired by a Cinnamon Fern at Acadia National Park, it is printed on paper made from invasive Yellow Flag Iris and Japanese Knotweed. By using invasive plants removed by the park’s vegetation crew, the work highlights the effort to preserve the insects’ intricate environments.
