Description
Pink Lady Slipper Orchids, native to the region, have an alluring but deceptive pollination process. Most commonly pollinated by queen bumblebees, these plants ‘trap’ insects by offering only one exit that requires them to traverse over the plant’s stigma and another, in turn helping with cross-pollination.
